Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook State Park Visitor Center and Habitat Restoration, Culver City, California - California State Parks
NewFields staff was responsible for designing plant species list and native habitat restoration for the park’s visitor center and public trails in the Baldwin Hills. The site is highly disturbed with annual grasses, wild radish, castor bean, and pampas grass that present a challenge to habitat restoration of the site. Part of the project involved coordination with the team on interpretive elements for the natural history of the park. The park and visitor center opened in 2009.
